Carson B. Jackson is passionate about the intersection of entrepreneurship and biochemistry, and aims to create innovative solutions for real-world problems. He is a third-year undergraduate Honors Scholar and Chancellor’s Distinguished Merit Scholar at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), majoring in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry, and minoring in Mathematics.
Carson B. Jackson is the co-founder of a stealth startup that is developing a novel formulation for RNA stability, funded by the NCBC Translational Research Grant through UNCW. Carson is listed as a co-author on a pending patent application, and will have published scientific work soon. In addition, he is the lab manager of The Wang Lab, where he is responsible for building the lab's brand, managing the web and social media presence, and coordinating with an innovative marketer. He has also published a creative nonfiction piece in the Second Story Journal, and holds two certifications from the CITI Program.
I have expertise in translational research, creative problem solving, strategic planning, business development, and technical skills including mRNA-LNP vaccine synthesis and CRISPR-Cas9 systems.
